Fahra Mawji is a young professional, certified with a Masters of Arts Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy- specializing in trauma and mindfulness. Living and practicing as a Marriage and Family Therapist in a country where mental health is still in early stages of development she illustrates compassion, enthusiasm in the mental health vertical, open -mindedness, cultural diversity through travel and adventure towards furthering the awareness of mental health and overall growth of the field, while simultaneously assuming an active leadership role in the community towards de-stigmatization of the mental health lens.
She is committed to creating safe and non-judgmental spaces, providing the comfortable environment clients require to explore their thoughts, emotions and experiences to promote healing and growth. These accomplishments are achieved through a collaborative process between the client and therapist with the use of practices ingrained in evidence- based techniques, empathy and understanding tailored to meet the unique need and cultural background of each client individually. She values collaboration and empowerment, which enables her to develop collaborative and holistic strategies to accomplish the client’s therapeutic goals.
